For those who are not fluent in toilet talk, the flapper is that circular rubber disc that covers the hole at the bottom of the toilet’s tank. When it’s working right, the toilet only flushes when someone pulls the handle. But if the flapper becomes worn it won’t form a tight seal. The result – water seeps back into the bowl, and the toilet makes a lot more noise than it should.
